Rafael Palacios - Vice President of Engineering & Preconstruction

PE, CMC, CFC

Rafael has four decades of experience with large scale HVAC and Plumbing systems. In his previous capacity of over 27 years, Rafael was the principal of one of the premier HVAC firms in the area, successfully delivering over $500M of work. His resume includes some of highest profile projects in Miami. Rafael has served as a member of the State of Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board and is currently the Mechanical Commissioner for the Florida Building Code.

Ralph Ares - Vice President of Construction

CMC, CFC

Ralph has nearly 40 years experience in the industry and in a previous capacity has personally overseen over $300M of Mechanical, Plumbing and Medical Gas work for some of the largest institutions throughout the Southeast United States, as well as projects in the Carribean and Central America. Ralph serves as Tropic's expert in Plumbing and High Grade Medical Gas systems.

George Ivins - Service Manager

As the leader of Tropic's field Service operations, George is responsible for the quality and precise work that has set Tropic apart from so many of it's competitors. His attention to detail has proven unparalleled and his name is well known throughout the industry as personifying excellence. George has been with Tropic longer than any other current employee.

Karen Forero - Controller

Karen leads Tropic's Accounting department with stringent attention to detail. Karen's extensive experience and education are an invaluable asset to the company. With Karen's involvement, Tropic's finances have been groomed and fine tuned to a point where our bonding capacity and financial position allows Tropic to compete with the largest and most established Mechanical Contractors in the industry
