Very few Mechanical Contracting firms have a State Licensed Professional Engineers on staff, Tropic has multiple. We approach every new project from an engineering standpoint, analyzing and addressing potential problems before they are ever put into construction.

Our knowledge of AHCA, LEED and Florida Building Code requirements allow us to properly generate building estimates and designs independently. Our department head, Rafael R. Palacios P.E., currently serves as the Mechanical Commissioner for the Florida Building Code and was a former chairman of the Construction Industry Licensing Board.

Tropic capabilities allow us to generate accurate, detailed estimates for projects based on very sparse information. Using the latest heat load calculation software, we are able to generate the precise HVAC requirements. This allows owners to properly budget for their HVAC, Plumbing and Medical Gas needs well before an Architect is retained.

In South Florida, HVAC design is not only about controlling temperature, but this must coincide with proper control of humidity. Tropic’s experts can design systems capable of properly controlling humidity in our harsh climate. To troubleshoot existing humidity issues, we utilize data analysis and computer modeling to properly attack and remedy any situation that may arise.
